If your computer hard drive fails, you could use hard drive repair software to recover it, such as Disk Genius, follow bellow steps:
1, Ready:
(1), Create a DOS boot floppy disk.
(2), Download DG from www.ccednet.com / soft / cce, extract it to a floppy disk.
2,Press the “Alt” key to activate the menu of the program, use left and right arrows to move it to the “Tools” item, select the “hard surface inspection”, the system prompt “test the current partition the hard disk surface ? And bad sectors in the list will be saved to BACDSECT.TXT. “
3, Perform a scan, there are three options: by sector scan, according to track scan and scanned by cylinder. We often select “according to sector” scan, although it’s slowest but the most comprehensive testing.
4, Click on “according to sector” to scan, the scanning process will pop-up a dialog box, and you will hear “Ko-zi, ko-zi” sound when scan the bad sectors, but soon it will disappear. When complete, there would be tips about whether there are bad sectors and how many.
5, Restart the system, enter the DG software catalog, open BACDSECT.TXT, it record the detailed results of the earlier scan, please write down the results, we will use this information in the following hard drive failure repairing steps.
6, Start the computer with the boot disk just created, run DG under DOS, delete the original partition. Operation is as follows: press the “Alt” key to activate the DG function menu, move it to the partition menu item, select “Delete Partition”, repeat the above operations, it will remove all the existing partitions.
7, Rebuild partition: Activate the menu, select “New Partition” (or build extended partition), and in accordance with the BADSECT.TXT paper record of the location of bad sectors, bad sectors into the space around 10 ~ 20MB alone is divided into a partition (This is done to give bad sectors spread a portion of space). “Tab” button is useful, always remember to press “Tab” key to switch to another location of the hard drive and then you can continue to sub-district the others, in partition operation, it does not matter if there are errors, the software provides a “reload” command, you can partition the hard drive back to the original state. Because the software prior to archiving all operations are only stored in memory, so you can use multiple ways to partition the size of the partition that contains bad sectors.
8, With the “Alt” key to activate the DG menu, implement the “hidden” command of the partition menu, you can hide the partition that contains bad sectors. Then Save and exit DG, system will prompt the partition has been changed.
9, Format partitions: Although the DG have a format procedure, but it’s not recommended, it is recommended to use “Format” command on boot disk to format the hard disk.
10, If the system prompted “Track 0 Bad” when formatting the hard disk, it means the hard disk 0 track have been damaged. Generally speaking, such a failure is difficult to fix, but we still do not have to give up, maybe there is a chance of survival.
In fact, the damage of track 0 is a bad sectors problem, at this point, we have to re-mark 0 track position. This work can be handed over to PCTools 9.0 toolkit; we have to use its DE.EXE command.
In order to modify the track 0, we must remove the read-only attribute of DE, that is, we must remove pre-hook elimination of the Read Only under Configuration. Then enter the Drive type from the main menu, and select the next level of the Physical → Hard disk. Press  return, our main menu will show the Partition Table (partition table), note that you should find the Beginning Cylinder (starting cylinder)item, which represents the start of the hard disk 0 cylin, that is track 0, change it to 1 or 2.
After performing above operations, we have hidden bad sectors, hard drive failure has been solved, and it will work again.
