Symptoms 1: The hard disk repeatedly read the disk and prompt error when you open a file or run a program, or successed hardly. 1, using system scandisk, “Scan Type” select “full”, and check the district completely , found out and try to rehabilitate potential bad clusters. For the above phenomenon which can not be guided and can not enter the system, you can use a boot disk, then in the A:> prompt, type SCANDISK D: (where “D” is a specific drive) to scan the hard disk. For the bad cluster, the program will mark the red “B” (bad).
2, Format the hard drive and divide bad sectors region into a separate area, if the bad sectors is not continuous and have far distance, the bad sectors can be classified in a neighboring district, or even more designated areas.
3, Use Partition Magic. Partition Magic allows re-partition the hard disk, resize the dynamic, change the file format partitions, hide or show existing partitions without destroying the data and so on.
Because “check” command under the Operations menu of Partition Magic can also scan the hard disk, check the bad sectors, so we can select “Advanced / bad Sector Retest” and divide the bad cluster into one (or several) zone, and then through the Hide Partition menu item to hide the partition that contains bad sectors.
It should be noted that, If they do not format partition having bad sectors but just hide it, then some of the relevant procedures may can not run correctly. The solution is to use Drive Mapper under the Tools menu, it will automatically collect shortcuts, and registry the relevant information, and immediately update the application drive letter parameters to ensure the normal program to operate.
