The new drive must be low-formatted, partition, high-level formatted to be used to store information. The hard disk vendors have had low-level formatted the hard disk, under normal circumstances the user must partition and formatting the hard disk.
(B), partition, format
A, partition FDISK.
If the partition program FDISK is DOS7.0 or above it will prompt: Do you wish to erable large disk support (Y / N) … …? (Y)
If it’s the FAT32 mode, Y; if FAT16 mode, N;
Select N and hit Enter – Partition menu.
1, Create a Dos partition or Logical Dos Drive.
2, Set an active partition. Set active partition.
3, Delete partition or logical dos drive.
4, Display the partition information.
First,
1, Create primary dos partition.
2, Create extended dos partition.
3, Create logical dos drivels in the extended DOS Partition.
Press ESC back to the menu on the floor.
The second, if more than one partition, you must set the active partition.
Third.
1, Delete primary dos partition.
2, Delete Extended Dos Partition.
3, Delete Logical Dos Drivels in the Extended Dos Partition.
4, delete non-DOS partition.
Note: create DOS partition, from 1 – 3. Delete the DOS partition, from 4 – 1.
