Large hard disk partition
(1) Start DM
First, downloads the DM all-capable version, and then extract all the files to the system boot disk.
Insert the system boot disk, start the computer, press the Del key to enter the BIOS settings, set “First Boot Device” (the first boot device) option to Floppy in the “Advanced BIOS Features”, save the BIOS settings, restart the computer. When the multi-configuration startup menu appears, select item 1-”Start computer with CD-ROM support” and restart the computer. At the prompt input “DM” and enter. When start DM there will be some explanatory text, press the Enter key to enter the main interface directly.
(2) Large hard disk partition
Point the cursor to the “(A) dvanced Options” (Advanced option), and then press the Enter key to enter the sub-interface. Point the cursor to the “(A) dvanced Disk Installation” (Advanced disk installation), and then press the Enter key to enter the partition state. At this point under the right interface “Drive List” (equipment list)it displays the hard drive on which the current system is installed. If the system is equipped with multiple hard drives, it will prompt the user to select a hard disk. Select the hard disk that need to partition, press enter button. Choose the partition format in the interface appeared, in general, select FAT32.
Then enter the partition size in the settings interface. DM provides three kinds of partitioning scheme, because we need to customize the partition size, so select “Option (C) Define your own” (custom partitions) option. Press Enter key and enter the partition size in the settings interface. You first need to set the size of C drive capacity, according to your actual need, enter the capacity value of C drive (1GB = 1024MB), the basic unit is MB, so if the C drive to be divided into 10GB , may enter “10240″ and press Enter button. Then enter the capacity for disk D, press enter and then enter the E disk capacity after … … until all the partitions are divided correctly.
Complete partition value will be shown in detail of the results of the last partition. If you are not satisfied with them, you can also adjust it by prompted buttons. For example, “DEL” key to delete the partition, “N” key to create a new partition.
After confirming that the drive partition are correct, point the cursor to the “Save and Continue” (Save and continue) option, and then press the Enter key to save settings. In the next window prompted whether to quick format, choice “(Y) ES” option. In the next window prompted whether accordance with the default partition clusters to format, choose “(Y) ES” option. In the confirmation interface, press Enter to start the formal partition and the hard disk format. Then restart the computer.
When the hard disk partition is finished according to partition program, formatting is completed; the disk can be used to store the data now.
